Sound It. Rádio Antecâmara no CCB

Radio Antecâmara’s residency is at the CCB!

Using radio waves and digital circuits, Rádio Antecâmara opens up new perspectives on the built environment, questioning and expanding its meaning. It is through dialogues between architects, artists and designers, and in conversations with poets and landscape architects, between interludes made of sounds and music, that Radio Antecâmara takes a closer look at our contemporaneity.

Around the performative and inhabited space of the studio, an elliptical route takes us into ‘felt’ territories. Walking on the ellipse becomes a pure sound experience, reminding us that the space we inhabit is not just made of walls. One of these spatial materials, which we don’t see but feel, is sound.

By presenting this sonic dimension of space, Sound it explores the ways in which sound constructs and moulds spatial perception and experience. It’s a subjective journey to discover an invisible architecture, a space perceived sonically, an audible and emotional place.

The Radio Antecâmara studio in the CCB’s South Garage will be open from 15 March to 4 September 2022, with an extensive programme.
