Sound It: Na cozinha do conselheiro Ayres

Don’t we talk at the table? You don’t eat on the radio? with Pedro Campos Costa, Alessia Allegri, Renata Araújo, Ana Soares and João Grama

“You don’t talk at the table, you don’t eat on the radio. Today, in a way, we’re returning to the end, bringing together guests who have already been to Memorial de Ares, experiences told from the space, for an open and unplanned sharing with six voices. As in a workshop, a kitchen, as in a garage, we rehearse in an unconventional space for a conversation that brings together places from literature, photography, history, curatorship and, of course, architecture.” JS

Sound It brings Rádio Antecâmara’s residency to Garagem Sul at CCB. With a wide-ranging programme over six months, the studio welcomes numerous guests, and it is through dialogues between architects, artists, designers, and in conversations with poets or landscape designers, between interludes made of sounds and music, that Rádio Antecâmara takes a closer look at our contemporaneity.
The programme hosts interviews and conversations recorded on the opening day of the exhibition and future programmes, the result of integrating new elements into Radio through Open Call.
Sound It explores the ways in which sound constructs and shapes perception and spatial experience. Transcending the visual dimension and going beyond acoustics, Sound It delves into the perceptual, narrative, emotional and referential dimensions of space. It is a subjective journey to discover an invisible architecture, a space perceived sonically, an audible and emotional place.
The word is the virus of radio, sound is the matter of space.
