Vilanova Artigas

In this episode, Vilanova Artigas describes his vision of architecture as a cultural manifestation capable of expressing meaning and transmitting knowledge. To this end, he talks about the process of designing the FAU-USP building and teaching program, as well as the references that influenced him in the design of the Londrina Bus Station.

This episode was made by editing audio taken from the film Espaço e Programa, made by the Faculty of Architecture of the University of São Paulo in 1978, the video of the lecture given by Artigas to the Faculty of Architecture of the State University of Londrina in 1983, and the interview given to journalist Marcelo Machado in 1984, published by SescTV’s Arquiteturas series.
