Toponímia Musical, Rua Augusto Machado

After 5 kilometres and 75 minutes walking along an itinerary that took us through 14 streets, we arrived at the last stop on our tour. This street brought us some funny surprises: we heard the marvellous opera by Augusto Machado and discovered that the composer was the inspiration for a character in ‘Os Maias’. What’s more, thanks to a recent study of his estate, we found an unfinished work with a libretto by Eça de Queirós and Batalha Reis that was unknown until now.
