Tiago Hespanha

From architect to director, we know Tiago Hespanha’s path better.
He graduated in architecture in 2004. In 2012 he completed the Master’s programme in Documentary Creation at Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona, Spain. He has been a partner in the film production company TERRATREME FILMES since 2008. In 2006 he was a student on the Ateliers Varan Documentary Filmmaking Course, produced by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation. Since then he has worked in cinema as a director and collaborated with various creators in different areas. In 2009 he worked as part of the permanent team at Ateliers Varan in Paris and in 2010/2011. Since 2012 he has been teaching on the international documentary master’s programme DOCNOMADS – European Documentary Master Course.
