Building with Taipa. The Fifth episode of Another Brick in the Wall, has a very special guest Alastair Leithead, ex-BBC Correspondent, globetrotter, and the co-founder of an exciting off-the-grid tourism lodge, Vale das Estrelas, in Odemira. Speaking to Alastair, Pedro brings us the client’s perspective of what it is like to embark on such a project, with all the different planning, construction and material challenges which one faces when trying to build with a vernacular material such as Taipa.
