Susana Cereja
Susana Cereja is a Portuguese multidisciplinary artist whose practice encompasses architecture, tapestry, illustration and printmaking. Her work explores the fusion of traditional techniques with a contemporary language, addressing themes such as identity, feminism and the relationship between the body and space.
With a degree in Architecture from the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Lisbon (2011-2016), Susana furthered her knowledge in illustration and drawing at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Lisbon and in printmaking at Ar.Co – Centro de Arte e Comunicação Visual. During her professional career, she worked for five years in the studio of the artist Joana Vasconcelos, where she had the opportunity to explore the world of Arraiolos tapestry and design large-scale pieces.
