Studio Sotnas

Studio Sotnas is an architecture studio founded in 2021 by Gonçalo André Pires and Pedro Santos Saraiva, based in Aarhus (Denmark) and Lisbon (Portugal). The studio’s practice centres on the intersection between architecture, design, visual art, curation and research, exploring the relationship between the built space and the natural environment, with an emphasis on sustainable and contextual solutions.

Gonçalo André Pires, 1991g

Graduating in architecture from FAUL and USI Mendrísio. He has worked in various studios in Switzerland, Belgium and Spain. Co-founder of Studio Sotnas with Pedro Santos Saraica. Lives and works between Portugal-Switzerland-Denmark and teaches at the Aarhus School of Architecture.

Pedro Santos Saraiva, 1991

Graduated from USI Mendrísio, 2016. He has worked in studios in Portugal and India. Founder of Aiva Images in 2020. Co-founded Studio Sotnas with Gonçalo André Pires.
