Priscila Bellas is an architect with degrees from FAU-UFRJ-Brazil and ENSA-Versailles-France and a master’s degree from PROURB-UFRJ. She is currently studying for a PhD at PROURB-UFRJ. Since 2018, Thiago de Almeida and Priscila Bellas have been partners in AGENCIA TPBA, an architecture practice based in Rio de Janeiro. Before founding AGENCIA TPBA, they worked at NP2F in Paris and OMA in Rotterdam, where they were involved in the design and development of competitions and built projects such as the Lafayette Anticipations Foundation in Paris.
AGENCIA TPBA is a young architecture practice founded in 2018 in Rio de Janeiro by Thiago de Almeida and Priscila Bellas. With precision of form and spatial openness as their central themes, their projects seek to produce ambivalent architectures where life can happen spontaneously. Throughout these first years, their work has been recognised in national and international competitions, including: 2nd place for the Brazil Pavilion project for Expo Osaka (2022); 2nd place for the redevelopment of the Charitas waterfront in Niterói (2021); and selection among the five finalists in the competition for the new Powerhouse Museum in Sydney (2019). In parallel, AGENCIA TPBA participates in various exhibitions and cultural events, such as the ‘Incertos Contextos’ residency at Garagem Sul/CCB Lisboa (2022). In 2024, they were selected among the ten teams to exhibit at the next Lugano Architecture Biennale in Switzerland.
