PERMANÊNCIAS EFEMERAS

‘Ephemeral Permanences’ is a residency organised by Antecâmara Rádio Galeria that focuses on exploring biomaterials, regenerative processes and natural cycles of transformation in artistic and architectural practice, through research, experimentation and public engagement.

Antecâmara Rádio Galeria (2021) is a project that explores space through experimental practices and artistic approaches that reveal conceptual and methodological perspectives sensitive to the field of architecture; it questions and expands notions of the city, architecture, disciplinary relationships, and contemporary social and poetic concerns. In this residency, the collective takes material research as a critical field from which to question the role of cultural institutions in the ecological transition.

The residency is understood as a temporary and process-oriented framework, where materiality, reversibility and environmental responsibility shape contemporary cultural production. During the residency, a modular cardboard structure, designed by the studio Campos Costa Arquitetos, will be constructed, forming the physical and conceptual basis of the project. Conceived as an installation in transformation, the space adapts and functions as a platform for experimenting with sustainable, reusable and regenerative construction processes.

The residency programme includes a series of workshops, talks, debates and other activities, which reinforce the project as an ongoing process and a space for shared learning.
