Permanências Efémeras

Permanências Efémeras

This episode brings together Iván Prego, Luísa Santos, Raquel Barata and Rosário Palha for a discussion focusing on the challenges of sustainability in artistic practices and cultural institutions.

In this fifth episode, the discussion takes the artist residency held at CAM as its starting point to reflect on the role of materials in the processes of creation, production and exhibition, broadening the discussion to include the environmental, social, economic and cultural responsibilities of institutions. Throughout the episode, the discussion covers experiences within museum and institutional contexts, international cooperation projects and collaborative practices that seek to imagine more sustainable ways of producing, preserving and sharing culture.
Spanning research, experimentation and resource management, this episode invites reflection on materials as agents of transformation and on the future of cultural institutions. A conversation that bridges art, sustainability and critical thinking, opening up space to imagine new ways of creating, exhibiting and caring for the resources that underpin artistic practice.
