Paulo Catrica

Paulo Catrica is a Portuguese photographer, born in Lisbon in 1965. He studied Photography and History, with an MA in Image and Communication and a PhD from the University of Westminster. His work focuses on documenting urban and social landscapes, with photographic series such as ‘Periferias’, ‘You Are Here’ and ‘Memorator’, exploring themes such as architecture and collective memory.

Catrica has exhibited internationally in renowned institutions and participated in curatorial projects. Her works are part of public and private collections in several countries. In addition to his artistic practice, he is a researcher at the NOVA University Lisbon
