Nuno Sampaio

Nuno Sampaio is a Portuguese architect born in 1974 in Porto. Since 2014, he has been the executive director of the Casa da Arquitectura in Matosinhos, a leading institution in the promotion and dissemination of contemporary architecture.

Before taking on this role, Sampaio was a member of the National Board of the Order of Architects between 2008 and 2010 and was a juror in several architecture competitions, including his participation in the 2013 FAD Awards. He has also been president of the urban innovation laboratory Urban Strategy since 2009 and vice-president of the Lisbon Architecture Triennale since 2010.
