Maria Rita Pais

Maria Rita Pais is an architect, teacher, researcher and curator. She graduated in Architecture from FAUTL in 1999, obtained a Master’s degree in Construction from Instituto Superior Técnico in 2004 and completed her PhD in Architecture at FAUTL in 2012.
She currently teaches at ULHT, where she also coordinates the PhD in Architecture. Her research centres on the relationship between architecture and the media, as well as architectural heritage. Her curatorial projects include co-curating the ‘Habitar Portugal 2009-2011’ initiative and the ‘Journey into the Invisible’ art project.
