Maria Reis

Maria Reis was born in Lisbon in 1993. She is one of the most original voices of the new generation of Portuguese independent rock, standing out as a singer, guitarist and songwriter. From a very young age, she showed an interest in music and, at the age of 14, co-founded the independent record label Cafetra Records, an initiative that has been fundamental in promoting the alternative music scene in Lisbon.
She began her musical career alongside her sister Júlia in the band Pega Monstro, where she stood out as a singer and guitarist. After taking a break from the project in 2017, Maria continued her solo career, exploring a fusion of pop, rock and traditional Portuguese music, always with a personal and authentic approach.
