Jorge Manuel Gonçalves

Jorge Manuel Gonçalves is a Portuguese geographer, professor and researcher specializing in urban planning, territorial resilience and sustainability. He is an Assistant Professor at the Instituto Superior Técnico (IST), University of Lisbon, and a researcher at CiTUA – Center for Innovation in Territory, Urbanism and Architecture.
With a PhD in Geography and Regional Planning, his research focuses on topics such as public space, metropolitan mobility, housing and urban policies. He is the author of several scientific articles and book chapters, and has actively participated in the public debate on the future of cities, contributing opinion articles to publications such as Expresso and ECO.
