João Queirós

João Queirós was born in Porto on 16 November 1998. He graduated in Communication Design from ESAD – Matosinhos (2016–2020). In 2021, he completed a Postgraduate Degree in Information-Oriented Design and began his professional career at Esad–Idea, Centre for Research in Design and Art, Matosinhos. In 2022, he began an internship at the graphic design studio, Studio Dobra, in Porto, which lasted until 2023, when he joined the New Studio team in New York. In early 2024, he returned to Esad-Idea as creative director, highlighting his intention to work in various areas of culture, with a special focus on editing publications that reflect and elevate local culture. As an independent designer, Porto Design Biennale, Forma da Vizinhança (Braga), Fringe – Queer Film & Arts Fest (London), and Arquiteturas Film Festival (Porto) are some of his most recent collaborations.
