João Gomes da Silva

João Gomes da Silva has a degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Évora, where he taught from 1987 to 1994. He has been a Visiting Professor in the Department of Architecture at the Autonomous University of Lisbon since 2001. He has been a Professor at the Accademia di Architettura di Mendrisio since 2010 and, in 2015, he was invited as a Visiting Professor in Landscape Architecture at the Harvard Graduate School of Design, in the Department of Landscape Architecture. He has been awarded the Portuguese Design Centre Prize; the Valmor Prize and the Lisbon City Council Municipal Architecture Prize; the Red Dot Design Prize; the SEGD Merit Prize; the D & AD-in Book; the European Design Awards Silver Prize; and the Piranesi Prize.
