Filipa de Castro Guerreiro, born in Viana do Castelo in 1976, is an architect and Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Porto (FAUP). She is currently a researcher at the Centre for Architecture and Urbanism Studies (CEAU) at the same institution. In 2008, she founded Atelier da Bouça together with Tiago Correia, developing various architectural projects. The name of the studio derives from the Bouça neighbourhood, designed by Álvaro Siza, where it is located. The duo has participated in interviews and discussions about architecture, emphasising the importance of respecting historical layers in rehabilitation projects. Filipa has a PhD in architecture, with a thesis entitled ‘Agricultural Colonies’, published by Dafne Editora in 2022 and a finalist for the FAD Thought and Criticism Awards in 2023. He has also participated in various exhibitions and academic events, making a significant contribution to the field of architecture in Portugal.
