Discord – Architecture

Welcome to the fifth episode of ‘DISCORD’, a talk and critique programme in which two architects with differing views on ‘how to create good architecture’ come together to offer constructive criticism of each other’s work.

The introduction to this episode is provided by Ainsley Johnston: an architect, writer and curator whose work explores the intersections between architecture, media, publishing and contemporary cultural practices.

As you know, the participants in each episode are invited by the participants from the previous episode. For this fifth episode, Søren Pihlmann invited Piovenefabi and Sam Chermayeff invited Raddar.

The two basic rules for the discussion remain the same:

– Both participants must focus on the general question of ‘what might good architecture be?’

– Each participant must send the other three items before the discussion: (1) a built project, (2) an unbuilt project (both in photographs, images, drawings and text) and (3) a text of their own authorship.
