Conceição Zagalo

Maria da Conceição Zagalo is a civic leader and former executive at IBM Portugal, where she worked for almost 40 years, holding management positions in the communications and marketing areas. She was co-founder and president of GRACE – Grupo de Reflexão e Apoio à Cidadania Empresarial.

Between 2017 and 2020, she was a councillor for Lisbon City Council, elected by the CDS-PP, with a focus on social responsibility and transparency. She has been involved in various social organisations, such as Associação CAIS, Fundação LIGA and Ser+ Dar+.

She is recognised for her work in executive volunteering and female leadership, having been awarded the Femina Prize of Honour in 2018.
