Carlos Alberto Augusto

A self-taught composer, he studied communications. He worked for more than 15 years in noise pollution control, research and regulation with the Portuguese environmental authority. In 1988, inspired by his growing interest in hypermedia communication, C. Alberto Augusto completed his master’s degree at Simon Fraser University (Vancouver, Canada), under the supervision of Truax. In 2003, Augusto was the curator of the music program for Coimbra National Capital of Culture 2003, in which many exciting musical events took place, in particular the very successful Coimbra Vibra!
New digital media and video, lectures, writing and composition are now the core of August’s activity.
