Andreia Faria
Andreia Faria is editorial coordinator at esad—idea, Research in Design and Art. She has a degree in Journalism and Communication Sciences and a master’s degree in Anglo-American Studies from FLUP. She was a bookseller at the historic Leitura bookshop in Porto and a cultural journalist at Jornal de Notícias. As a poet, she uses the name Andreia C. Faria. She made her debut with Flúor (Textura Edições, 2013). This was followed by Um Pouco Acima do Lugar Onde Melhor se Escuta o Coração (Edições Artefacto, 2015) and Tão Bela Como Qualquer Rapaz (Língua Morta, 2017), which won the SPA Prize. In 2019, she compiled her poetic works in Alegria Para o Fim do Mundo (Porto Editora, Inês de Castro Foundation Prize). More recently, she published the prose collection Clavicórdio (Língua Morta, 2020), Canina (Tinta-da-China, 2022), which won the PEN Poetry Prize and the Correntes D’Escritas Prize, and a new book of prose, Canto do Aumento (Sr. Teste, 2024).
