A Turtle With a Broken Back

This short series of talks aims to promote interdisciplinary reflection on São Tomé and Príncipe, addressing the impact of climate change on the economy and people’s lives, the logistical difficulties in importing and exporting goods, and the role of photography, cinema and architecture as tools for dissemination and
awareness raising. The aim is to create a space for dialogue between science and art, highlighting local issues that reflect global challenges.
This is an initiative by visual artist Tiago Casanova in partnership with Antecâmara Rádio Galeria, based on the artist’s photographic work developed between 2022 and 2024 in São Tomé and Príncipe.
