With a degree in Architecture from the University of Beira Interior, she began illustrating for publications during her studies.<br \/>\nShe has participated in group and solo exhibitions since 2010, but it was in 2019 that illustration became her main activity, where her interest in Portuguese tradition and culture marked some of her work. Traditional expressions, people and trades are what inspire her most in the construction of narratives, but also everyday objects and the poetics of working days.<\/p>\n<p>Her illustrations, with the pencil connected to the heart and emotions flowing from the paper, can be found on Instagram @martanunesilustra and at www.martanunes.work<br \/>\nWe draw your story to the sound of Tindersticks, The Cinematic Orchestra and Tom Waits.<\/p>\n<p>In this series of interviews, we talk to architects who didn&#8217;t follow the traditional path of the profession: with one foot in architecture, their professional activity found fertile ground in other creative fields.
