Nithya Iyer

Nithya Iyer is an interdisciplinary artist, researcher and mediator born in 1985, with roots in Australia, India and Portugal. Her artistic practice encompasses performance, installation, video and research, exploring themes such as corporeality, territory, culture and intergenerational narratives. She uses phenomenological methodologies to create interventions that question and transform our understanding of the body and space.
With a degree in classical Indian dance (Bharatanatyam) and a Masters in Therapeutic Arts, she is co-founder of the L&NDLESS collective and a member of The Third Thing project. She presents her work internationally and reflects critically on art and culture in publications such as Peril Magazine.
