Ajay Sonar

Ajay Sonar is an Indian architect who co-founded the studio ‘A for Architecture’, established in Nashik, Maharashtra, in 2011, together with architect Monali Patil. The studio is dedicated to creating architecture that promotes peace and harmony, integrating natural and cultural elements into its projects.

One of Ajay Sonar’s notable works is the ‘Panorama House’, completed in 2014, located on the waters of the Gangapur Dam reservoir in Nasik. The residence was designed to frame the panoramic view of the Sahyadri Mountains, using minimal materials and emphasising the fluidity of spaces that dissolve the boundaries between interior, exterior and the surrounding nature.
