Sandra Pereira

Sandra Marques Pereira is a Portuguese sociologist specializing in urban studies and housing policies. She has a PhD in Sociology from ISCTE – Instituto Universitário de Lisboa and is a researcher at DINÂMIA’CET-Iscte, where she is a member of the “Cities and Territories” research group.

Her research focuses on public housing policies, ways of living, urban housing models, residential trajectories and urban transformations, with a particular focus on the city of Lisbon. She is co-coordinator of the “Southern European Housing” working group of the European Network for Housing Research (ENHR) and of the LxHabidata platform.

In the academic sphere, she has taught on the Integrated Master’s Degree in Architecture and on the PhD in Architecture of Contemporary Metropolitan Territories at ISCTE-IUL.
